继《追风筝的孩子》后轰动全美的平装畅销奇迹
深刻描写亲情与伦理、谎言和罪衍、救赎和希望的超感人杰作
这本书的标题很吸引我
觉得蛮特别的
在仔细看了一下

"The love was within her all the time, and its only renewal came from giving it away." (p.247)
That one touched me quite well. How simple is that and how many of us know that old yakadie-yak, in one form or anohter, yet, just how many of us actually made that kind of devotion of ourselves to the world and its people around us, had the guts to?
"A moment was not a single moment at all, but rather an infinite number of different moments, depending on who was seeing things and how." (p.215)
And that sums up a lot of what this book was spun around. I don't know about the sin, forgiveness, hope, morale, etc. but what that quote said struck me the most reading this book. The absolute liability of this world as it constantly undergoes tranlation, and the sorrow of keeping pieces of hearts back from your close ones.
*sigh* I express more fluently now in English than Chinese... that marks me an American
